Charity Ballet Performance SPREAD LOVE THROUGH RHYTHM 2018 On December 1 At Dewan Sri Pinang, Penang
(PENANG) The Pointe Art Academy (PAA) will organize its 2nd charity ballet performance entitled Spread Loves through Rhythm” (SLTR) at the Dewan Sri Pinang on Dec 1.
Endorsed by the state government, the event will have more than 14 amazing classical and contemporary ballet dances, performed by the academy’s 120-student troupe.
This 2nd sequel’s objective is to promote the concept of “children helping children”, which is to raise funds for the less fortunate children.
Proceeds from the sales of ordinary tickets will be channeled to BOLD Association for Children with Special Needs, Penang, a non-profit organization that offers intervention programs catering for children with special needs, both on the island and mainland.
The young students from the academy have been preparing for more than nine months for this unforgettable evening.
“After the much well-perceived event held in 2015, the PAA decided to have its 2nd sequel at a larger theater to enable its students to perform in a much professional stage, as well as to accommodate more audiences for its generous purposes.”
“We hope that, through performance, it enables us to spread hope, love, and care as well as to create awareness to the audiences and the participants towards children with special needs.”, said Ms Leow, the principal of PAA.
“By staging this performance, we want to empower the children through rhythm. Rhythm plays an important part in both music and dance, it can be therapeutic and serves as a positive outlet for emotional expression. It also helps to build self-esteem and self-confidence as well. Positive attitudes such as discipline, commitment, dedication, and teamwork can be developed and encouraged among the students by participating in the event,” said Leow.
The sponsors for this charity performance: US Pizza, Dr. SH Lai (Nyin Oi Tong Medical Hall), H.I Signature Salon & Academy and Jessica Cosmetology.
The event starts at 7 pm.

Together with our partner organization ACS, we are organizing a Fund Raising Dinner on 26 August at Wembley St Giles. Our target is to raise RM500,000 through the dinner to cover operating expenses for both organizations in the coming year.
As you can see from BOLD’s 2017 Annual Review , our programs including the 4 we share with ACS reach over 400 Children with Special needs and their families. BOLD’s annual expenditure is now RM400,000. It’s very important to have enough funds every year to to keep all programs running and keep our dedicated staff.
