Play Group & Social Group

  • Target Groups: 3 - 8 years old with difficulties/developmental delay in social, communication and/or language skills.
  • Weekly, one hour sessions.
  • Activities designed to stimulate development of social and communication skills, e.g. turn taking, staying on task, following instructions.
  • For Play Group (3 - 5 years old), one parent/caregiver attends together with the child.

 

Focus on Literacy

  • Target Group: 5 - 8 years old facing difficulties in learning to read and write.
  • One hour sessions, 2 - 4 times per week.
  • Teaching materials and methods designed to help children achieve basic reading level in medium of instruction of their school (Bahasa Melayu or Chinese).
  • BOLD staff will assess children to establish whether they will benefit from the program.

 

First Step Early Intervention Centre 
(in partnership with Asia Community Services)

 
  • Target Group: Children from 0 - 4 years old, with learning difficulties and/or developmental delay.

Inclusion
(in partnership with Asia Community Services)

 

  • This program works with kindergarten and schools to provide the necessary supports for the inclusion of Children with Special Needs in mainstream classes.
  • Regular newsletters to increase awareness and knowledge.
  • Visits from skilled personnel to provide itinerant support to teachers as well as parents.​​

 

Respite Care  
(in partnership with Asia Community Services)

  • For families with children with disabilities, of any age.
  • Offers safe, clean and caring environment to the children so families can take a needed break.

JOM Mobile Toy Library
